A
visit to North Wales is not complete without a canal boat trip at Llangollen
Wharf.
Gliding
silently past shoals of fish in a horse drawn boat, you can enjoy some
of the most beautiful scenery of the Dee Valley.
Don't forget your camera for the trip on the aptly named motor narrow boat Thomas Telford across Telford's magnificent Pontcysllte Aqueduct, providing the thrill of travelling in a boat 126 feet above the River Dee.
Refreshments and a bar on board add to the comfort of an unforgettable journey.
There's
an informative commentary throughout the trip. Please ring in advance
to book as places are limited - Two trips per day usually.
Our Licenced Cafe is the place to visit after your canal trip, with stunning views across the River Dee, the canal and Llangollen's rooftops as you take a light meal or a Welsh Cream Tea amongst the gaily painted canal ware in the cafe/gift shop.
