Victoria visited Llangollen on two occasions, once in 1832 shortly before
she acceded the throne, and in 1889.

celebrate the Diamond Jubilee in 1899, the Victoria Promenade was built
along the south side of the river offering a now unique insight into the
period.

with over a hundred years ago, visitors and locals alike take great pleasure
in strolling along the riverbank or just simply sitting on one of the
many benches to watch the river go by or feed the many ducks!
