Llangollen Wharf

Llangollen Wharf
A visit to North Wales is not complete without a canal boat trip at Llangollen Wharf. Take a 45 minute trip along the feeder of the Llangollen canal in a boat pulled by one of our gorgeous heavy horses. Gliding along silently past shoals of fish in the crystal clear waters, you can enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery of the Dee Valley.

Llangollen Railway plc

Llangollen Railway plc
Part of the Ruabon to Barmouth line, our Railway closed to passenger traffic in 1965, and to goods in 1968. The track and signalling was removed the following month, and for seven years the buildings and trackbed were left at the mercy of nature. A group of enthusiastic volunteers started the rebirth of the line with an open day in September 1975, with 60 feet of track; since then the line has rarely looked back.
